InSync New Features:
- Added New Recorders:
- Olympus DS-5000 support (DS-2400 coming soon)
- Philips 9600 support
- Added New Dictation System:
- Dictaphone
- Medflow
- Crescendo
- Improved offline functionality. If the internet/network connection becomes disabled, users will be able to perform the following InSync functionality:
- Configure recorder
- Download dictations off recorder *
- Upload from Recorder *
- Check Dictation Log
- Record New Dictation *
- Change Client Connection
Note: dictations will remain on the PC until the internet/network connection is re-established.
- Added previous recorded file detection. If a user configures a recorder which already has existing audio files on it, InSync will now warn the user of the existing files.
- Added WMA file support for the Olympus DS-2. This file format would be created by the Olympus DS-2 if the user chose any of these record modes: "Stereo HQ", "Stereo SP", and "HQ". Users can now upload dictation files under these formats.
- Improved the "Record New Dictation" feature that is part of the built in audio recorder. Added Append, Insert, and Overwrite functionality allowing the user to have more flexibility when recording dictations.
- Removed advanced option "Send Dictations as WAV". This process is no longer preformed locally on the user's pc. It is now preformed on the Server.
- Added support for the IQMax Dictation System interface. This option is found on the Recorder / Audio Source tab.
Bug Fixes:
- Changed labels on the InSync menu and Recorder / Audio Source Tab to reflect all supported recorders.
- Fixed the problem of Windows Explorer displaying a message were a drive letter was unavailable. This would occur after configuring a recorder that is also a mass storage device. This fix applies to the DS-2, DS-4000/3300/2300/2200, and Philips 9450/9400i/9350.
- Fixed floating point division by zero exception error that would occur after completing a recording with the InSync internal audio recorder (New Dictation or Record New Dictation Menu option on the main InSync menu).
Legacy Operating Systems such as Windows 98 SE, ME, and NT are no longer supported.
