Do not connect the recorder to the cradle or USB cable at this time!

1. Insert the Olympus DSS Player CD into your CDROM drive.
On the start screen, select Install English (US) Version.
|
2. Fill in your information and the Serial Number located on the blue piece of paper included in the package.
Click Next.
|
3. Click Yes.
The Olympus DSS Player 2002 installer will now start.
|
4. Click Yes.
|
5. Select the installation destination here. We recommend that you keep it to the default location.
Click Next.
|
6. Click Yes.
|
7. Click Next.
|
8. Click Next.
|
9. Keep the box on this screen unchecked, and click Next.
|
10. Allow the program to fully install. When installation is complete, click Finish.
|
|
You have successfully completed Step 1.
|
|
Note: This recorder is also compatible with the Olympus DSS Release 4.1 and Release 4.2 software.
|
1. Insert the USB Cable into your computer's USB port.
|
2. Make sure that the Hold button on the right side of the recorder is disengaged.
Connect the smaller end of the USB cable to the bottom of the Olympus DS-330 Recorder.
|
3. The Found New Hardware Wizard window will appear.
Click Next.
The installer will now search for the appropriate driver.
|
4. After the computer is done searching, select the top driver and click Next.
|
5. After the wizard is done installing, click Finish.
|
6. The DSS Player 2002 window will appear.
Close this window.
|
7. At the bottom right of your taskbar, look for the icon for Device Detector 2.
|
8. Right click on the Device Detector 2 icon and click on Exit.
|
9. Open the Start menu and click on All Programs. In the Startup folder, locate Device Detector 2. Right click on it, and select Delete.
|
10. On the confirmation window that pops up, click Delete Shortcut.
Disconnect your recorder from the USB cable.
|

You have successfully completed Step 2.
|
Make sure you have installed the Olympus DSS Player software before attempting to install InSync.
|
1. Go to www.emdat.com/software/ and click on the InSync link on the left side of the screen.
Click on Version 4.9.360.
|
2. On the File Download window, click Run.
|
3. InSync will start downloading. The amount of time this will take depends on your internet connection speed, and may take several minutes.
|
4. Once the download is complete, a confirmation window may appear depending on your computer's security settings. Click Run.
If you do not see this window, proceed to the next step.
|
5. Click Yes. If you receive any warnings from your anti-virus program, select the option to allow the installation to continue.
|
6. The Emdat InSync installer window will appear.
Click Next.
|
7. Select the installation destination here. We recommend that you keep it to the default location.
Click Next.
|
8. On the Confirmation window, Click Next.
InSync will now install.
|
9. Allow the program to fully install. Once installation is complete, click Close.
|
|
You have successfully completed Step 3.
|
Do not connect the recorder to the cradle or USB cable at this time!
|
1. Click on the Start menu and select All Programs. Locate the Emdat folder, and click on Emdat InSync.
|
2. Enter the Client Name and Client Password provided to you by your transcription company.
|
3. At the top of the window, click on the Recorder/Audio Source tab. Check the box next to Olympus DS-660/330.
|
4. A window will pop up confirming that you have installed the DSS Player software. Click OK.
|
5. At the top of the window, click on the Options tab. Check the box next to Show Dictation Log after Send.
|
6. Click OK on the bottom of the screen. InSync will now connect to the server.
|
7. Look at the bottom right of your taskbar for an icon that looks like a recorder. Left click on the icon, and select Configure Olympus DS-660/330.
|
8. On the Select User window, select the clinician that will be dictating on the recorder.
Click OK.
|
9. Select which folder(s) the clinician will dictate in.
Click OK.
|
10. Make sure that the Hold button on the left side of the recorder is disengaged.
Connect the recorder to the USB cable and click OK.
|
11. If the configuration is successful, you will see this screen. Disconnect the recorder from the USB cable and click OK.
