Vista Install Instructions for InScribe

To install InScribe you will need to download both the updated runtime components as well as the InScribe program. Please do the following:

  1. Click here to download InScribe. When the dialog appears, select 'Save'. Save the file to your desktop.
  2. Right Click on the InScribeSetup icon on your desktop and choose 'Run as administrator'.
  3. The installation will begin. You may see a dialog asking your permission to continue. Click 'Continue' and follow the prompts.
  4. Click here to download the Vista Emdat Components (EmdatRuntimeComponents_v1.4.512.exe). When the dialog appears, select 'Save'. Save the file to your desktop.
  5. Right click on EmdatComponents.exe on your desktop and choose 'Run as administrator'. You may see a dialog asking your permission to continue. Click 'Continue' to start the install.
Once the install has completed you can now use InScribe.
