This will pop up a window that lets you search patient appointments by entering a few letters of the Patient Name. |

Searches patient appointments based on the Patient ID number entered into the demographic area. |

Searches for and displays patient appointments based on appointment date and clinician entered into demographic area. |

Edit Patient Information (Ctrl+Alt+E) |
Allows you to look up and edit patient records based on Patient ID or Patient Name. If there is no match, this creates a new patient record. |

Edit Problem List (Ctrl+Alt+P) |
This will open a window that shows past patient problems. |

Insert Problem List at Cursor (Ctrl+Alt+I) |
If patient has a problem list, this will let you quickly insert the problem list into the transcription body. The Problem List feature must be enabled by your transcription company. |

Append/Unappend by Transcription ID (Shift+Ctrl+A) |
Lets you enter the ID of the Transcription to which this document should be appended. |

Lock Transcription (Ctrl+Alt+K) |
Lock the transcription so it will not send to server. |

Move Up in List (Ctrl+Up) |
Takes you to the previous transcription in the queue. |

Move Down in List (Ctrl+Down) |
Takes you to the next transcription in the queue. |

Set Cursor Focus on Transcription (Alt+;) |
This will automatically bring your cursor to the transcription body text. |

Check for Existing Transcription |
Checks the servers for any existing transcriptions that match the Transcription ID for that dictation. |

Re-Pool Dictation (Ctrl+H) |
In case there is a problem with the dictation, such as the wrong doctor dictating. This will send the transcription with the corrections back to the server and into the correct pool. |

Invalidate Transcription (Ctrl+J) |
Used mostly for blank dictations. Moves the current dictation to the Invalidate folder. Be careful with this! |

Cancel Transcription |
This will undo any work done on the transcription and revert to the last transcription saved on your PC. |

Complete (Done) (Ctrl+O) |
Marks a transcription as Complete or Done. |

Mark for QA (Ctrl+Q) |
Marks a transcription to go to the next level of QA. |

Mark for Review (Ctrl+W) |
Marks a transcription to go to the Review Folder (if client does not have a review folder, this will not take effect). |

Next Transcription (Shift+Ctrl+Enter) |
Advance to the next dictation. |

Upload Completed Transaction (Alt+U) |
This will upload transcriptions that you marked as done. |

New Transcription: (Shift+Ctrl+N) |
This option allows you to type a new report without a dictation on the system. |

Get Prior Transcriptions (Shift+F1) |
This option will search the database and return all the previous transcriptions based on the patient ID, dictating clinician, and document type entered into the demographic area. You can search using any combination of these three features, and you can append the resulting transcription to the current transcription, although you will not be able to edit the old transcription. |

Copy Transcription to New Transcription (Shift+Ctrl+Y) |
Allows the transcriptionist to copy current transcription to a new transcription including the demographics and transcription text. |

Copy Dictation to New Transcription (Ctrl+Alt+Y) |
Allows the transcriptionist to copy the current dictation to a new transcription. This is used when there is one dictation for two transcriptions. |

Save (Ctrl+S) |
Save the current transcription to your PC. This option saves changes for your current InScribe session. Note, if you want to save it to work on it at a later time then use the KEEP option when you logout of InScribe. |

Count Lines (Ctrl+T) |
Shows how many lines have been typed in the current transcription. |

Spell Check (Ctrl+K) |
Runs a spell check to correct any misspelled words in the transcription. |

Insert Dictator into Transcription (Shift+Ctrl+Down) |
After typing a few letters in the transcription body, use of this function will produce a menu of clinicians whose names match what was typed. Inserts clinicians full name and credentials into the transcription body. |

Refresh Dictator List |
Used only for clients with a large number of dictators (500 or more), this allows the transcriptionist to refresh the clinician list in the event that a new clinician was added and the list needs to be updated. |
