1. Telephone - Emdat InTouch System

All dictations made through InTouch are supported by ShadowScribe.

2. InSync Built In Player

All dictations made through InSync's built in player are supported by ShadowScribe.

3. Hand Held Recorder Brands - Olympus, Grundig, Phillips

Audio File Types:

Audio Requirements for Speech Engine:

Recorder must be in SP, or "Standard Play Mode" (11kHz). The LP, or "Long Play Mode" (8kHz) is not supported. For DS2 files, the recorder must be in QP, or "Quality Playback" recording mode.

Bit Rate: 8 bit or 16 bit Sampling Rate: 8kHz or 11kHz
Encodings:

U-law and a-law
ADPCM encoding
GSM620 encoding
PCM encoding

5. External Dictation Systems

If the External Dictation System generates WAV files, these are the standard chunks that are supported:

Data

Chunks are blocks of data that contain attributes important to the audio program reading the file.

Please note: WAV files that contain non-standard chunks should be tested first to verify system compatibility.
