InCommand Does Not Allow LogIn Even After Running The Components

This article will discuss a necessary procedure to log-in to InCommand on computers where the Nuance Components do not have permissions to run automatically.

This issue occurs when you arrive at the log-in page and the username, password, and client fields are disabled but running the Nuance Components does not unlock them.

There are two common causes to this problem, solutions to both can be found below

PROBLEM NUMBER 1

1. Click on the bar at the top of the InCommand window. Please see the image below:

2. Select the option "Run Add-On For All Websites". If this option is not available, select an option similar to "Run Add-on". Please see the image below: NOTE: Often, these steps must be repeated 3 times for the computer to recognize the Nuance Components properly.

By doing this procedure, you should now be able to log in. You might encounter these errors within the program still depending on the security setup of the computer. Please do the following:

3. Navigate into one of your workflow folders. You may see an error message pictured below. After clicking OK, you should be able to open a transcription for viewing.

4. When you open the transcription window, you might encounter the error below. After clicking OK, click on the bar at the top of the screen.

5. Select the option "Run Add-On For All Websites". If this option is not available, select an option similar to "Run Add-on". Please see the image below: NOTE: Often, these steps must be repeated 3 times for the computer to recognize the Nuance Components properly.

6. Open a transcription for editing if you are able.

7. When the editor opens you might encounter the error below. After clicking OK, click on the bar at the top of the screen.

8. Select the option "Run Add-On For All Websites". If this option is not available, select an option similar to "Run Add-on". Please see the image below: NOTE: After running this, you will be moved back to the Transcription Viewer window. When you go back into a transcription for editing, though, you should not receive any errors.

You should now be able to navigate through the program without any errors.If you are still unable to login see problem 2 section below

PROBLEM NUMBER 2

It might be a case where you are using 64 bit Internet Explorer. To find out if you are using 64 bit IE follow these steps. Click on the start menu and select my computer Click on the C drive If you are on a 64 bit computer you will see two program files folders, one named program files and one named program files (x86) Pf.png

You will also see two versions of Internet Explorer in the all programs section under the start menu, you want to use the Internet Explorer that does not say 64bit
