Our Internet-based applications use Akamai's state-of-the-art optimization tools to monitor detailed information about web traffic around the world and automatically route data to the fastest available servers. Employing Akamai is part of Emdat's ongoing efforts to increase documentation productivity and enhance user satisfaction. Users enjoy faster, more predictable access to the data they need.
Data transported securely.
Transport security uses 128-bit Twofish encryption for file transfers between our system and the clients' systems; 128- bit SSL encryption accessed via web browsers when viewing, editing or printing transcriptions and 256-bit SSL encryption when moving data between the data centers. Data is encrypted with a Virtual Private Network service over the high-speed regional network.
Redundant data stored for absolute safety
Data is backed up continuously in a true GFS (Global File System) fashion and closely monitored among two off-site data centers. Our physical backup storage devices reside only in secure data center facilities.

Access to data is available only through the authorized log-in through Emdat applications. If needed, data can be encrypted while at rest.
