InSync and InTouch

InTouch and InSync are two easy-to-use methods to upload dictations.

Voice files are uploaded to the Emdat server using either InTouch (telephone dictation) or InSync (digital recorder).  Voice files are encrypted with a 128-bit Twofish algorithm during transit.  When a voice file is received, copies are stored in two different server farms.  MTSOs and their clients can access and listen to any dictation for up to one year, after which it is backed up and moved to a second data center.

INTOUCH

InTouch, Emdat's telephone dictation system, is wholly managed and supported by EMDAT.  Physicians can dictate using a familiar dictation method and still have their dictation automatically routed to your transcription company and transcripstionist within seconds.  Touch-tone telephone buttons can easily be programmed to perform desired functions per a setup that’s most familiar or desirable to users.  Emdat supports many telephone dictation devices used by other systems, allowing the InTouch server to perform various functions such as “start recording,” “pause,” “rewind 5 seconds,” “play,” “pause,” etc., per the customized setting.

INSYNC

The InSync application resides on any desktop or notebook computer and runs in the background as long as a computer is turned on, automatically uploading dictations from digital recorders to the Emdat servers.  Clinicians don’t have to start the application or click on anything.  They simply dock the digital recorder and the secure transfer begins.  Dictations are verified for completeness and then removed from the digital recorder, allowing the clinician to begin dictations again.  A backup copy of all dictations is securely stored on the docking computer for 14 days.
